Nice parking area for boaters, nice boat launch ramp, floating dock too high to launch kayaks but you can use the shoreline, nice bathroom facility, playground for kids, and picnic areas with tables and covered area.
Scenic, peaceful view of the Manatee River. Rowing crews practice nearby and in sight. You can also see the new Fort Hamer Bridge.
They made a renovation recently. It looks great now. New parking lot and restrooms were built outside. The place is well lit outside at nights. Great place for boating and fishing. There are benches to sit. Not many people.
I must say Fort Hamer Park is a beautiful place... A excellent place to put a boat in the water to go fishing lots of things to do ...Bradenton and Manatee County definitely outdid their selves when it comes to The fort Hamer Park
